About us

We are neither TATOC or the present Timeshare Consumer Association [TCA], the histories (good or bad) do not belong to us.

Our organisation came into existence on the 15th of May 2014 and our company registration number is 09041038 and our Registered Office is located at Coniston House, 3 Beach Rd, St Anne’s-on-Sea, Lancashire, England, UK, FY8 2NR.

When first incorporated our company was christened the Timeshare Consumer Association Ltd [TCA] after the old TCA mantle was passed down to us by the beneficiary of the late Mr Alexander (Sandy) Grey.

The new TCA concept was created in November 2013 by Mr David Cox (a retired businessman) and Mr Stephen Boyd (a solicitor working for Linder Myers) and it became incorporated on the 14th of May the following year.

In June Mr Boyd received an invitation and did become an equity partner at Hermes Law (which changed its name to Athena Law) therefore resigned his position of Director. Mr Cox continued with the TCA work aided by Mr Boyd.

In January 2015 the TCA created TESS (Timeshare Exit and Support Services) Ltd, now TESS Paralegal Services Ltd.

The old TCA created TESS to service the needs of consumers, who claimed to be having trouble in either re-selling or disposing of their timeshares.

TESS’s work commenced at the beginning of February 2015 and both TESS and the TCA moved from Blackpool to St Anne’s-on-Sea Lancashire.

In October 2015, TATOC published falsehoods about TESS who delivered a measured response in a defamation proceeding.

To fund the proceedings the TCA sold off its peripheral internet assets the timeshareconsumerassociation.org.uk and timesharetalk.co.uk to Tolmex Ltd.

The TCA then changed its name to “The Long-term Holiday Products Association Ltd” [LTHP].

On the 15th of May 2017 the defamation proceedings concluded and TATOC were ordered to pay damages to TESS in the amount of £270,000.

Between February 2016 and April 2018, the consumer association had no internet presence however still existed.

After the insolvency of TATOC, LTHP acquired the old TATOC domain and that transaction was concluded in March 2018.

We are The Long-Term Holiday Product Association Ltd and exist now as “The Timeshare Association”. We are a community company “not for profit” and the company is under guarantee, that financial guarantee provided by Mr David Cox.
